I would like to share with you just a little about my family and our commitment in serving Christ. My wife, Maryann  and I have been married for 36 years. Maryann and I met in high school in Warren, Michigan. We have 5 married children who are faithfully serving Christ as loving families. And we have 8 grandchildren to date.

 While attending the college, I was called to serve in the US Army where I served in Germany as a military policeman. In 1973 I was hired as a police officer in the city of Detroit until 1984. But, the Lord a had another “calling” for me. While working as a toolmaker for Android Industries I began having a desire to serve Christ vocationally. Arrangements were graciously made for my pursuit of training for full time ministry. Currently, I am “bi-vocational,” and presently employed by Android Industries in the Innovation Group and serving in ministry as Pastor of Pine Grove Bible Church.

 A Brief History of PGBC

In 1992 I began pastoral training at the Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated in 2000. It was at DBTS where the Lord impressed within me a desire for church planting. This interest in starting a  new church soon transformed into a passion.

After selecting and surveying the community we would minister in Pine Grove Bible Church was inaugurated in 2002 originally as Pine Grove Baptist Church. We began meeting at the Oak Tree Elementary School of the Goodrich Schools with 5 families who had a desire in spreading a passion for Christ to the people of our new community. Since that time we moved our worship services to the Goodrich Lions Club where we meet presently.

Currently, we own 4 acres of land on M-15 about a quarter of a mile south of the Lions Club where we meet. Our goal is to construct our own meeting facility within the next few years.
